Keeping Girls in School & Promoting Education

Girls Support Center (GSC) is committed to ensuring that every girl has access to quality education, which is essential for breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering future generations. Our efforts focus on reducing school dropout rates, supporting teenage mothers to return to school, and advocating for policies that promote girl-child education.

• Supporting School Re-entry for Teenage Mothers and Dropouts
  Many girls drop out of school due to pregnancy, forced marriages, or financial difficulties. We provide support to help them reintegrate into the education system through scholarships, mentorship, and psychosocial counseling.
• Providing Scholarships, School Supplies, and Mentorship
  Financial constraints prevent many girls from completing their education. We offer scholarships, tuition assistance, school supplies, and mentorship programs to help girls stay in school and excel in their studies.
• Engaging Parents, Schools, and Communities
  Parental and community support is vital in ensuring girls complete their education. We conduct awareness campaigns and community dialogues to encourage families to prioritize girls’ education and discourage early marriages and child labor.
• Promoting Alternative Education and Vocational Training
  For girls who are unable to return to formal education, we provide vocational training in skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and entrepreneurship to equip them for economic independence.
• Advocating for Girl-Child Education Policies
  We collaborate with local authorities and policymakers to push for policies that protect girls’ right to education, prevent school-related gender-based violence, and create a safe learning environment for all.
• Addressing Barriers to Education
  We tackle challenges such as menstrual hygiene by providing sanitary pads, advocating for safe and inclusive school environments, and supporting infrastructure improvements like proper sanitation facilities in schools.
