At Girls Support Center (GSC), we are committed to advocating for the rights of girls and young women, ensuring they are protected from all forms of abuse and discrimination. Our Girls’ Rights Protection & Gender Equality program focuses on creating a just society where girls can thrive without fear of violence, exclusion, or inequality.

Key Interventions:

• Fighting Gender-Based Violence (GBV):
  • Raising awareness about the different forms of gender-based violence, including domestic violence, sexual harassment, and exploitation.
  • Providing support services such as counseling, legal assistance, and safe shelter for survivors of abuse.
  • Working with community leaders, law enforcement, and local governments to enforce anti-GBV laws.
• Ending Child Marriages and Harmful Cultural Practices:
  • Advocating against forced marriages and harmful traditional practices that undermine girls’ rights.
  • Engaging parents, elders, and religious leaders to promote cultural shifts that value girls’ education and autonomy.
  • Supporting girls who escape forced marriages with shelter, education, and skills training.
• Legal Support and Policy Advocacy:
  • Ensuring survivors of abuse and exploitation have access to justice through legal representation.
  • Working with policymakers to strengthen laws protecting girls’ rights and enforcing penalties against violators.
  • Conducting community education on the legal rights of girls and women.
• Promoting Gender Equality in Schools and Communities:
  • Encouraging equal access to education and leadership opportunities for girls.
