The Girls Support Center (GSC) recognizes the need for a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable girls, teenage mothers, and at-risk youth. Our Social Support & Rehabilitation program focuses on restoring dignity, hope, and self-reliance through the following interventions:

1. Temporary Shelter & Safe Spaces

  • Providing emergency shelter for teenage mothers, abused girls, and victims of gender-based violence.
  • Establishing a Girls’ Safe Haven to offer a secure environment for rehabilitation and empowerment.
  • Ensuring access to basic needs such as food, clothing, medical care, and hygiene essentials.

2. Counseling & Mental Health Support

  • Offering psychosocial counseling to teenage mothers and survivors of abuse.
  • Training peer mentors to support fellow girls through trauma healing.
  • Conducting group therapy sessions to rebuild confidence and self-esteem.

3. Life Skills & Behavioral Change Programs

  • Training on decision-making, self-defense, and assertiveness to help girls stand up against abuse.
  • Educating on gender roles, relationships, and safe practices to prevent further exploitation.
  • Engaging reformed victims as role models to mentor and inspire other girls.

4. Reintegration into Education & Society

  • Supporting school re-entry for teenage mothers and school dropouts.
  • Providing scholarships and sponsorships for disadvantaged girls.
  • Partnering with schools and communities to create support networks that encourage girls to continue education.

5. Economic Empowerment for Self-Reliance

  • Offering vocational training in tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and crafts.
  • Establishing women-led savings and investment groups for economic sustainability.
  • Providing startup kits and capital to trained beneficiaries for small business ventures.

6. Advocacy & Community Engagement

  • Organizing community dialogues on child protection, sexual violence, and early marriage prevention.
  • Working with local authorities and organizations to create policies that support at-risk girls.
  • Raising awareness through radio, social media, and community outreach programs.

7. Establishment of a Girls’ Rehabilitation & Training Center (Future Plan)

  • Constructing a fully equipped rehabilitation and training center for rescued girls.
  • Developing income-generating projects (e.g., agriculture, textile, and handicrafts) to sustain beneficiaries.
  • Offering long-term support programs for survivors, ensuring they are fully reintegrated into society.

These services aim to break the cycle of abuse, poverty, and gender inequality, giving vulnerable girls a second chance at life. GSC is committed to ensuring that no girl is left behind.
